About the Race
The demanding 20 kilometers is the perfect distance. Running 12.4 miles is a worthy of a finisher's medal. The 5 kilometer gives everyone an opportunity to participate in Dam to Dam. The youth runs this year are Olympic distances of 100, 200 and 400 meters.

The beautiful Iowa countryside course ends in downtown Des Moines, where finishers enjoy great food, drink and entertainment at scenic Nollen Plaza for the awards ceremony.

The Dam to Dam volunteers, bands and mascots enjoy helping you as much as you do running -- everyone has a good time. First-class competitive men's and women's fields! Iowa's finest support Iowa's finest race! One of Midwest's premier road races for many reasons, the Dam to Dam 20K is truly Iowa's distance classic!

The Des Moines Area Religious Council (DMARC) Food Pantry is in its 32nd year of helping to meet the short-term needs of hungry families in the area. Please consider bringing $5 or a food donation to packet pickup. Dam to Dam is honored to join with the DMARC Food Pantry to help provide for those in need.
